Okay, so the first
thing you want to do
is TURN OFF THE EMERGENCY
BREAK, so you are sure
that the system won't
kick in. Personally,
I turn off the thermostat,
also..

The
first thing is to check
the pilot flame. If
it's white inside, it
means that it's not
clean, and you are wasting
gas because the flame
is not the hotest.
If
you look at the bottom
of the flame, there
is a small hole. Just
take a straw, and blow
air into it. Of course
it's going to blow off
the flame. This is when
you take a match and
turn the pilot on again.
If
it takes you too long,
TURN PILOT THE GAS SWITCH
TO OFF, WAIT A COUPLE
OF MINUTES, THEN FOLLOW
THE CONSTRUCTOR STEPS
IN ORDER TO TURN ON
THE PILOT AGAIN. BE
SURE OF WHAT YOU ARE
DOING OR YOU COULD BLOW
OUT YOURSELF AND YOUR
HOUSE ! I AM IN ANY
CASE NOT RESPONSIBLE
!
Ok,
so now you are supposed
to have a nice blue
flame like this

Once
this is done, you can
start to remove the
burners
by
putting your hand underneath
it, pulling toward you,
Lifting
the opposite end of
it only

pushing
everything forward,
so the end which is
in your hand gets disconnected
and
finally removing the
burner. I -THINK-
the position matter.
So remember which one
goes to the left, in
the middle, and to the
right.
Of
course do not use anyk
kind of permanent marker
that could burn. I kept
mine in order and did
not have to write or
mark them whatsoever..

So
now if you look inside
of it, using a flashlight,
you'll see all the dust.

This
is when you have to
go to the gas station
and pay 75c or get a
$10 compressed air bottle.
I heard that you could
also wash them in water.
I don't know what would
be the result, but if
you do so, WAIT UNTIL
IT IS TOTALLY DRY before
you put it back.
The
safest way is to blow
air inside I think.
So you would put the
blower on the top of
it, trying to get the
dust out through the
hole that you can see
in the picture above.
Once
this is done, just replace
the burners, be sure
they are locked, be
sure that the pilot
is ON once again, and
if you turn the emergency
switch to the ON position,
then if you turn on
the thermostat, you
should see a little
switch on the furnace
itself, where you removed
the door from. If you
push it, you should
have the gas going in
between the burners,
and they should light
right away (the 3 of
them within 2 seconds).
If they don't, then
you have something called
delayed ignition, and
this is what create
explosions. If you are
my friend, call me and
I'll come and check
it out. If I don't know
you, call your gas company
!
